A Chemical Leaching Unit is a crucial component in the battery recycling process, designed to extract rare metals like copper, manganese, cobalt, nickel, graphite, and lithium from the solid materials obtained through mechanical separation. This process involves dissolving the rare metals using specific chemicals, transforming them from a solid state into a liquid solution. Once dissolved, the solution undergoes a precipitation process to remove impurities, after which a filter press separates the solid residues. The loaded leach solution then proceeds to solvent extraction.
